Fahren was born on December 25th, 2016, the best Christmas gift one could hope for! I’d waited many years to be ready for another golden and she certainly had some big shoes to fill.
Fahren is out of Bart (FC AFC Glenhaven HTRS MN Baronet MH OS FDHF) and Molly (Topbrass Turbo Don’t Ask Why CDX MH30 QA2 AD CCA WCX VCX OD) and was bred by Ron & Pat Rubrecht with Turbo Goldens. I choose this breeding because I had loved and admired many Bart offspring over the years and they all represented my idea of the “ideal golden”. When I met Molly in person I knew this was the breeding I’d been waiting for.
As an 8 week old puppy Fahren arrived here and never looked back. She loves to be working and have a job. It doesn’t matter the task at hand, she is always up for the challenge and she is an extremely quick learner. At 9 months of age we entered our first competition at the 2017 GRCA National and she exceeded all my expectations and earned her first JH leg and passed her WC. She is a natural at anything field related and loves her birds.
At 15 months old we started her agility career. I am not one to rush a dog into competing, but simply put, she was ready. She breezed right into Masters and after a long break due to COVID and raising a litter of puppies she finished her MACH (Master Agility Championship) July 2021. In September 2023 Fahren completed the requirements for her AGCH (Agility Grand Championship). She has an amazing amount of ground speed and collection/turns to die for. She wastes no time and is one of the most efficient dogs I’ve ever seen run. We mainly trial in AKC but we participated in a few weekends of UKI trials and she quickly completed her IAC (International Agility Championship).
In our free time, we have also dabbled in Barn Hunt, Fast CAT, Dock Diving, Rally, and obedience and have earned or are in the process of earning titles in each of those venues.
At home, she is the sweetest, most loving golden I’ve ever met. She is happiest when she is with her “people” and an expert cuddler. While she likes to be busy and working she has learned to have a nice “off switch” and to chill. She has surpassed all of my expectations and I am so incredibly lucky to get to share this journey with her!
